FAQ: Delivery

Customers are always welcome to pick up their orders at the Sharpe Refectory. Hot food is not available for pick up.

Delivery Fees

  • Brown University Catering will make deliveries of food and supply orders over $35.00 on Campus
  • Fee: $15.00 for deliveries Monday-Saturday 6:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Fee: $25.00 for deliveries Monday-Saturday before 6:00 am or after 7:00 pm
  • Fee: $50.00 for deliveries on Sundays and holidays (based on Catering Schedule 8am-5pm).
  • For deliveries to off-campus locations, the fees are based on the location and type of event. Brown’s Catering Manager will determine the delivery fee.

Our Drivers’ Access to On-campus Buildings

  • Brown University Catering has access to the Sharpe Refectory
  • If your event is at another location, to avoid additional delivery charges, we suggest contacting your Event Coordinator to confirm the delivery time of your order and to ensure no additional fees are incurred.
  • Please note: Our Drivers do not set up any event. Brown Catering is not responsible for any deliveries left unattended when “delivery only” is requested. If your room is locked or otherwise occupied, our drivers will leave your ordered items outside the designated room or area.

Delivery Times

All deliveries are scheduled based upon logistics of your event (i.e. time, location, type of service etc.). The following are to determine the delivery time of your order:  Please send actual start time of food event when placing orders.

  • Delivery Only: ½ hour to 1 hour prior to your event
  • Set/ Clean (no hot food): 1 hour to 1 ½ hours prior to your event
  • Receptions/Lunches/Dinners: 2 hours to 2 ½ hours prior to your event
