Whether you're a student, staff/faculty member, or visiting from off-campus, all Brown dining locations are open to the public! We offer a diverse mix of dining experiences to fit your schedule and taste. On this page, you can explore all of our locations, view current hours, and find what's on the menu.
Our campus eateries are divided into two main types. Residential Dining Halls, like the Sharpe Refectory and Verney-Woolley, are our all-you-care-to-eat, buffet-style locations where one meal credit or entry fee gives you access to a wide variety of stations. In contrast, our Retail Cafes & Markets, such as the Blue Room, Ivy Room, and Andrews Commons, are à la carte locations where you pay for exactly what you want such as a quick coffee, a grab-and-go meal, or a made-to-order specialty like a smoothie or signature bowl.

Winter Operational Hours
Please note, all Dining facilities will be CLOSED Monday, December 22nd to prepare for Winter service. Breakfast/Lunch bags will be available for pick up on Sunday, December 21st in the Ivy Room from 7:30am to 6:00pm for students who will need meal support on Monday. If you have special dietary needs for your bagged meal, please reach out to dining_services@brown.edu for assistance.
The Ivy Room will be open daily during Winter Break 10am-6:30pm from 12/23/2025 to 1/3/2026. Accepted payment methods include meal credits, guest meals, flex points, Bear Bucks, cash, and debit/credit cards.
Sharpe Refectory will open daily 10am-6:30pm from 1/4/2026 to 1/6/2026 and resume normal operations 7:30am-7:30pm starting on 1/7/2026. Accepted payment methods include meal credits, guest meals, flex points, Bear Bucks, cash, and debit/credit cards.
The Blue Room will open and resume normal operations 8:00am-3pm Mon-Fri on 1/6/2026. Accepted payment methods include flex points, Bear Bucks, cash, and debit/credit cards.
All other Dining locations will resume normal operations on 1/18/2026 for the Spring semester.
