Summer Meal Plans
Summer Dining at Brown
Spring 2026 meal plans expire when final exams conclude on Saturday, May 16th. Seniors and Brown RISD dual degree student meal plans remain active throughout Commencement week and expire on Sunday, May 24th.
During Commencement week (May 17th through May 24th), meal service is available at the staff canteen located at Josiah's. Additional details about Dining Services operations during Commencement week can be found on our Commencement Dining page.
Following Commencement, Josiah's will be closed for the summer and and resume normal operations August 26th.
Summer Operating Schedule
All dining locations will be CLOSED the week after Commencement, May 25th through May 30th. Dining operations will reopen for summer service on May 31st and will be limited during the Summer until Fall move-in.
The following units will be open for summer operations:
- Sharpe Refectory (Accepted payment methods include meal credits, cash, and debit/credit cards.)
- Verney-Woolley Accepted payment methods include meal credits, cash, and debit/credit cards.)
- The Blue Room (Accepted payment methods during summer operations include cash and debit/credit cards.)
- The School of Engineering Cafe (Accepted payment methods during summer operations include cash and debit/credit cards.)
Please refer to the full operational hours table below for summer operating hours for specific units. All Dining locations will resume normal operations on 8/26/2026 for the Fall semester.
Summer 2026 Meal Plans
Summer meal plans will be available for purchase beginning Monday, April 27th. You may purchase a Summer Meal Plan by logging into mycard.brown.edu. Please note: Financial Aid awards are for the Summer Session meal plan, not the Summer Full meal plan.
If you are approved for financial aid for Summer Session, you still will need to purchase a meal plan through the meal plan portal. A meal plan will not be automatically assigned to you!
Summer meal plans cannot be cancelled after purchase.
